JKAA was established in Australia in 1972, under the leadership of Chief Instructor Shunsuke Takahashi, OAM, 8th Dan, from the JKA Instructor's School in Tokyo, Japan. Shihan's dedication and unfailing committment to our Association has seen him continue to travel to Australia twice yearly for the past 34 years to train and grade our Instructors and students in this traditional martial art.
